Hello, I am Mary Toon a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW). I received my Bachelor’s in Social Work from Wichita State University in 2014, and my Master’s in Social Work in 2018. I am currently working towards my clinical social work license, and certification in Play Therapy.

I have had the opportunity to serve the local Community for the last nine years as a social worker, with the last five focused on providing individual therapy and mental health support in schools. I have experience working with children and families from all walks of life facing a variety of issues. I utilizes a trauma informed approach to guide children and adults on their journey to healing and finding their inner strength. I believe that just as all persons have a unique story, they deserve their own unique approach to their therapeutic journey.               

Life can be full of challenges and barriers that seem impossible to face alone. I believe that you have had the power to face these challenges all along, but having a trusted guide to unlocking that healing power can make all the difference. Children who have been through very difficult experiences often need a great deal of understanding, and patience while they learn the tools to move through that pain and trauma to healing.

Being able to trust an individual with your own or your child’s personal challenges can be difficult and take time. I appreciate and honor the trust that you are placing in me as we walk together on this journey. If you feel I would be a good fit for you or your child please reach out.
